Namur Station
Namur Station is the largest station in the province of the same name and an important hub on the Brussels-Luxembourg axis. The current station building dates from the 1860s but was completed in 2022 with a brand-new multimodal terminal. Beneath a transparent canopy, the station connects trains, TEC buses and cyclists with one another.
The station is fully wheelchair-accessible. All platforms are reachable via spacious lifts and there are tactile guidelines for blind and visually impaired travellers. The central passenger hall is on one level and step-free. Adapted toilets are present on the ground floor. SNCB/NMBS Assistance offers free support to and from the train; reservations must be made at least three hours in advance via 02 528 28 28 or online.
In front of the station lies a large traffic-free square, entirely flat and with wide pavements. Reduced-mobility parking spaces are available in the underground car park. The station is within walking distance of the Sambre, the Citadel and the historic centre of Namur, all of which are partly accessible to wheelchair users.
