Train World

Train World is the official railway museum of the Belgian national railway company SNCB/NMBS, housed in and around the beautiful historic station of Schaerbeek. The museum tells the story of Belgian railways through an impressive collection of locomotives, carriages and train sets, from the very first steam engines of the nineteenth century to modern high-speed trains. The scenography, designed by François Schuiten, takes visitors on an immersive journey through time. Interactive elements and multimedia installations make the visit engaging for visitors of all ages.

Train World is fully wheelchair accessible. The museum has lifts and ramps providing access to all exhibition areas. Free wheelchair loans are available. Adapted restrooms are located throughout the museum. Visitors holding a European Disability Card benefit from a reduced admission fee, and accompanying persons enter free of charge. Museum staff are available to assist with any questions about accessibility.
