♿ Wheelchair accessible

The Voer region in the south-east of Limburg is a hilly and unique corner of Flanders, surrounded by Wallonia and the Netherlands. Small villages such as 's-Gravenvoeren and Sint-Martens-Voeren are scattered across a landscape of sunken lanes, orchards and stream valleys. The region is a magnet for walkers and cycling tourists, but the well-known paths are usually sloped and not always paved.

For wheelchair users, the region is partially accessible via a number of paved minor lanes and old towpaths. In 's-Gravenvoeren a paved walking route starts from the centre along the Voer stream, mostly level and with few obstacles. The nearby Altenbroek estate also has a short barrier-free path with panoramic views. Most of the classic Voer walks, however, are not feasible with a standard wheelchair due to their slopes and sunken lanes; an electric wheelchair or mobility scooter with high torque helps here.

Parking is possible on various village squares, including in 's-Gravenvoeren with reserved spaces at the tourist information point. An adapted toilet is also available there during opening hours. By public transport, the region is reachable via buses from Maastricht and Visé, although service frequency is limited.
