Brasserie de la Renaissance is an institution in Verviers, set in an elegant belle epoque building right by the Place du Martyr. The brasserie breathes the spirit of the nineteenth-century textile metropolis Verviers once was, with high ceilings, mirrors, mahogany panelling and a long marble bar. The menu combines classic Belgian dishes with Liege specialities such as Verviers boudin, Liege meatballs and, in season, game from the High Fens. The wide selection of regional beers and wines makes it a pleasant address for a long lunch or a quiet dinner.

Accessibility is good on the ground floor. The main entrance is step-free from the pavement, and the dining room has plenty of clearance between tables, with several spots roomy enough for a wheelchair. The accessible toilet is reachable via a short corridor on the ground floor; turning space is somewhat limited by the historic layout but sufficient for a standard wheelchair. The staff are attentive and happy to help in finding a good spot.

Parking is possible at the public car park beneath the Place du Martyr a few dozen metres away, with a lift and accessible spaces. The pavements around the square are wide and smooth, with lowered kerbs at the crossings. Booking is recommended on Friday and Saturday evenings and on special occasions such as the game season.
