Café Le Falstaff
Le Falstaff is a legendary Brussels brasserie, located opposite the Stock Exchange on Rue Henri Maus. The building opened in 1903 and is considered one of the finest examples of Art Deco and Art Nouveau in the city. Stained-glass windows, wooden panelling, bronze lamps and colourful mosaics shape its unique atmosphere. The menu offers classic brasserie dishes such as beef stew, shrimp croquettes and mussels, complemented by an extensive beer list.
The ground-floor dining room is step-free via the main entrance on Rue Henri Maus. The tables on the ground floor are spaced well enough apart for wheelchair users. The toilets, however, are located on a lower level via stairs, which is a barrier for wheelchair users. On request, the staff can direct guests to an adapted toilet in one of the nearby public buildings or department stores.
The café is located in a pedestrian zone that is fully paved and level. Parking spaces for holders of a disabled parking card are available in the underground Parking Ecuyer and Parking Grand Place, both less than five minutes away. Bourse metro station is one minute's walk and step-free thanks to its lifts. The immediate area with the Grand-Place and the covered galleries is ideal for an extended visit.
