Café Métropole on De Brouckère square is one of the most iconic cafés in Brussels, with a richly decorated belle-époque interior of mirrors, gilt, stucco and chandeliers. The café was part of the former Hôtel Métropole and is loved for a coffee, a traditional aperitif or a glass of champagne among locals and visitors alike.

Given the historic nature of the building, the access is not fully step-free. The main entrance has a low threshold that the staff bridge with a portable ramp on request. The ground-floor room has enough space to reach most tables by wheelchair, although the original round seating may restrict passage in places. The accessible toilet is usable but limited in space.

There is no on-site parking; the nearby underground car parks (Parking 58 and Monnaie among others) have PRM spaces and lifts. The immediate area around De Brouckère square is paved and flat. The De Brouckère premetro stop is just around the corner with an accessible lift.
