Café Trefpunt is one of the most legendary cafés in Ghent, located on the lively Sint-Jacobsplein. It started in the 1960s as a meeting place for folk musicians and grew into the beating heart of the Gentse Feesten. Today Trefpunt combines the warmth of a neighbourhood café with live performances, a busy terrace and a broad selection of Belgian beers. Small bites and daily soups round off the offering.

Accessibility on the ground floor is good. The front door provides step-free access to the bar and the seating area via a gentle ramp. The terrace on Sint-Jacobsplein is also level. The toilets, however, are located on a lower level without a lift, which means the sanitary facilities are not accessible to wheelchair users. Staff can help refer guests to an accessible toilet nearby.

The square in front of the café is fully paved, although there are patches of cobblestones. Parking spaces for holders of a disabled parking card can be found in the underground Parking Vrijdagmarkt, a few minutes' walk away. The café is also easy to reach by tram 1 at the Sint-Jacobs stop and by several bus lines.
