Den Artiest Mechelen
Den Artiest is a warm, homely restaurant in the centre of Mechelen, within walking distance of the Grote Markt and St Rumbold's Cathedral. The kitchen is seasonal and aims for a modern take on Belgian bistro classics. Fresh produce from local suppliers forms the basis of a rotating lunch menu and a creative evening menu.
The restaurant has a completely step-free entrance and a spacious ground-floor dining room with plenty of distance between the tables. Staff actively help with seating so that wheelchair users can join the table comfortably without getting in the way of other guests. There is an adapted toilet on the ground floor with a low washbasin and grab rails. The kitchen can accommodate various dietary requirements if mentioned when booking.
Den Artiest is located in the pedestrian-friendly city centre. The street in front of the restaurant is paved with smooth tiles. Parking is available in the underground Grote Markt car park or Zandpoortvest car park, both equipped with lifts and adapted spaces about 300 metres from the restaurant. Mechelen station is within walking and rolling distance via a completely step-free route through the Bruul.
