Restaurant De Pelgrim is in the historic heart of Tongeren, within walking distance of the Basilica of Our Lady and the Gallo-Roman Museum. The chef serves a craft, seasonal cuisine in which local products - Haspengouw fruit, Limburg asparagus, game from the surrounding forests - take centre stage. The menu changes several times a year, with a fixed lunch formula and a more extensive evening menu in three or five courses.

The building is a historic construction, meaning the main entrance has a small threshold. Via the side entrance on the inner courtyard there is, however, step-free access, opened on request. The dining room on the ground floor is spacious, but some tables stand relatively close together - it is recommended to mention when booking that extra space is needed. The adapted toilet is functional but quite compact, typical of historic buildings in the Tongeren city centre.

The historic centre of Tongeren has predominantly cobblestone paving, which makes the approach route somewhat less comfortable for wheelchair users. The Veemarkt Car Park and De Motten Car Park are five to seven minutes' drive away and offer reserved spaces. From Tongeren Station the ride via the Maastrichterstraat takes about ten minutes, partly over cobblestones but mostly well passable.
