Restaurant Le Cabestan is a renowned address in the centre of Charleroi, specialising in a refined French cuisine with attention to local products. The chef serves classics such as fillet of beef with sauce béarnaise, pan-fried sea bass with fennel, and a selection of seasonal dishes with game or asparagus depending on the time of year. The wine list is well composed with major French names and some Belgian winemakers.

The main entrance is step-free and spaciously laid out. The dining room on the ground floor has a classic decor but with sufficient distance between the tables. The adapted toilet is modernly equipped with grab rails, turning circle, and lowered washbasin. When booking, the staff will happily adjust the table arrangement and help choose a spot that is both pleasant and practical for a wheelchair user.

In the immediate surroundings there are several underground public car parks with lift and reserved spaces, including the Rive Gauche Car Park three hundred metres away. Charleroi-Sud Station is fifteen minutes away by wheelchair, largely via a step-free route along the Sambre. The approach route is mostly level and well paved.
