ARC (Art Research Center) in Roeselare is a venue for contemporary visual art, housed in a former abbey and school complex that was carefully restored and opened to the public. The centre combines exhibitions by emerging and established artists with artistic research, lectures and collaborations with art academies and national museums. The focus is on experimental visual practice, installations and social themes, with regular openings and performances that attract a diverse audience.

The renovation of the complex was conceived with strong attention to accessibility. The main entrance is barrier-free via a discreet ramp, and most ground-floor exhibition spaces are spacious and without thresholds. A roomy lift connects the ground floor with the upper floors, where additional galleries are located. Accessible toilets are provided on every floor. The small café on the ground floor, overlooking the inner courtyard, is also fully accessible. Audioguides with subtitles are available.

ARC has its own car park with two reserved accessible spaces. The immediate surroundings in the centre of Roeselare are flat and fully paved. Roeselare station is within walking distance and is fully wheelchair accessible. A cultural visit to Roeselare combines excellently with the nearby KOERS Cycling Museum, which is also fully accessible, and a roll around the Grote Markt.
