Cera Visitor Centre Leuven
The Cera Visitor Centre in Leuven is an open meeting place where the cooperative bank Cera makes its social mission and projects visible to a wide public. On the ground floor of the Cera headquarters on Bondgenotenlaan you can visit rotating exhibitions on themes such as the fight against poverty, the social economy, art and community. Admission is free. Alongside exhibitions, lectures, debates and meetings on current social issues are regularly organised.
Accessibility is fully developed. The entrance on Bondgenotenlaan has automatic sliding doors without a threshold, and the entire visitor area is on the ground floor. The exhibition spaces are level and wide enough for a wheelchair or mobility scooter. Text panels are placed at reading height, with large lettering and good contrast for visitors with low vision. An accessible toilet is provided on the same floor. At the reception desk a wheelchair can be borrowed by anyone who needs one during the visit.
The centre is a few minutes' walk from Leuven station, making it ideal to reach by train. An underground car park with accessible spaces is one hundred metres away. Combine a visit with a walk on Leuven's Grote Markt and a trip to the M Museum ten minutes' walk away.
