Gardens of Annevoie
The Gardens of Annevoie are a unique gem of garden art in the Meuse valley. These eighteenth-century water gardens were created by the Montpellier family and stand out for their remarkable water system: all fountains, cascades and water features operate naturally, without pumps or mechanical devices. The water flows thanks to the natural gradient of springs throughout the entire estate. The gardens harmoniously combine elements of French, English and Italian garden styles.
The Gardens of Annevoie are Access-i certified and strive to make the estate as accessible as possible. A wheelchair is available on request at reception. PMR parking spaces are located near the entrance and adapted toilets are provided. The paths consist mainly of fine gravel, which is passable for most wheelchair users, but it is recommended to bring a companion for extra comfort on uneven sections and slopes.
The gardens are open from April through October and are at their most beautiful in late spring and summer, when the flowers are in full bloom. The estate is situated in Annevoie-Rouillon, a short distance from Dinant and the N92. Combine your visit with a trip along the Meuse or an excursion to the nearby Château de Freyr for a varied day out in the province of Namur.
