KANAL - Centre Pompidou
KANAL - Centre Pompidou is Brussels' newest major museum, housed in the spectacular former Citroen garage along the canal. The museum, a collaboration with the Centre Pompidou in Paris, showcases modern and contemporary art, architecture, and design. The monumental industrial building offers an impressive spatial experience.
The museum was designed from the outset with full accessibility. All exhibition spaces are reachable via spacious lifts. The floors are flat and the corridors wide. Adapted toilets are available on every level. The museum offers guided tours for visitors with various disabilities, including touch tours and sign language tours.
Underground parking with disabled bays is available. The museum is reachable by metro (Yser stop) and bus. The museum cafe and bookshop are accessible at ground level. The esplanade along the canal provides a pleasant walkway.
