Lac de Nisramont
Lac de Nisramont is a reservoir on the Ourthe river, near La Roche-en-Ardenne in the heart of the Ardennes. Created in 1958, the lake sits in a deep valley surrounded by dense forests and offers breathtaking panoramic views. It is a popular destination for walkers and nature lovers.
Along the dam and part of the shore runs a paved path of approximately 1.5 kilometres that is suitable for wheelchair users. This path offers beautiful views over the lake and the surrounding wooded hills. The longer walks around the lake are not suitable for wheelchairs due to steep slopes and unpaved paths. An adapted toilet block is available near the dam.
Parking is available at the dam with designated accessible spaces. The lake is a short drive from La Roche-en-Ardenne, one of the most popular tourist towns in the Ardennes. In autumn, the area is particularly photogenic thanks to the fall colours.
