Maasmechelen Village
Maasmechelen Village is one of Europe's best-known outlet villages, located on the edge of the Hoge Kempen National Park. With more than 100 brand shops in a picturesque, former-mining-town setting, it offers a distinctive shopping experience. The concept is that of an open-air village with streets, small squares and rest areas between the shops.
The Village is fully wheelchair-accessible. All streets are paved and entirely step-free, and the shops are each reachable via automatic doors or wide entrances. Several adapted toilets are distributed across the site. At the Welcome Center reception, wheelchairs can be borrowed free of charge, and there is a parking service for guests with reduced mobility.
Spacious free reduced-mobility parking spaces are located close to the entrances. The Village is also reachable via a direct shuttle from Antwerp, Brussels and Liège. On site, several restaurants and terraces offer accessible seating. The proximity of Terhills and Maasmechelen makes for a pleasant combination with a trip out into nature.
