Maison du Tourisme Vallee de la Meuse Yvoir
The Maison du Tourisme de la Vallee de la Meuse in Yvoir is the gateway to one of the most beautiful sections of the Belgian Meuse Valley, between Namur and Hastiere. The welcome centre offers information about walking, cycling and tourist routes, exhibitions about the region, a shop with regional products and a ticket desk for the many tourist sites in the area, including the citadel of Dinant and the castle of Freyr.
The building has been recently fitted out with attention to universal accessibility. The entrance is at ground level, all desks and information corners are wheelchair accessible, and adapted toilets are available. The staff can provide information about the most accessible routes in the region, including flat RAVeL trails along the Meuse and the bank of the Bocq.
The car park in front of the building is paved with PMR spaces close to the entrance. Yvoir lies at the confluence of the Meuse and the Bocq, with a ferry, restaurants and a large marina. A visit to the Maison du Tourisme is a logical starting point for a day in the region and combines with a cruise on the Meuse or a trip to Dinant.
