Monde Sauvage Aywaille
Monde Sauvage in Aywaille is one of the best-known zoos in Wallonia, set in the rolling landscapes between Liège and the High Fens. The park combines a traditional zoo circuit with a safari bus that drives through meadows with zebras, giraffes and white rhinos. Educational shows with sea lions and birds of prey attract visitors from across Belgium and the Netherlands.
The main circuits are partially accessible for wheelchair users. The central paved loops around the larger animal enclosures are flat and usable, while some side paths in the wooded section are steeper or semi-paved. The safari bus has been adapted to take a wheelchair user on board via a loading platform; reserve this in advance at reception. Adapted toilets are available at reception, the cafeteria and the show area.
The large car park offers reserved spaces right at the entrance. A wheelchair can be borrowed at the entrance on request. The cafeteria and the terrace on the square are step-free. Combine your visit with a stop at the nearby accessible Remouchamps estate or with a day at the accessible Domaine de Palogne, fifteen minutes' drive away.
