♿ Wheelchair accessible

Landscape De Liereman in Oud-Turnhout is one of the oldest nature reserves in Flanders and still shows a remarkably intact view of the centuries-old Campine heathland. Fens, drifting dunes, wet and dry heath, and extensive birch and pine forests make it a small collection of habitats in a single domain. The nearby visitor centre hosts a permanent exhibition about the nature and history of the reserve.

The visitor centre is fully barrier-free and has an adapted toilet. From the centre, a wheelchair-friendly walk sets off along paved and well-maintained semi-paved paths, with observation points and benches along the way. On longer routes deeper into the area, the paths can be less even and an off-road wheelchair may be more comfortable.

The car park at the visitor centre has PRM spaces. The connection between car park, reception and the wheelchair-friendly route is paved and level.
