Topsporthal Vlaanderen Ghent
The Topsporthal Vlaanderen in Ghent is one of the largest and most modern indoor sports infrastructures in the country. The hall regularly hosts international indoor athletics, volleyball, basketball, and tennis events, and also functions as a training centre for top athletes. Recreational sportspeople can also go there for open sessions.
The complex is designed with full accessibility in mind. All entrances are step-free, there are spacious sliding doors and enough lifts to the grandstands. In the grandstands, reserved wheelchair zones are provided on each side, with a good view of the athletics surface. Adapted toilets and changing rooms are present. A transfer lift also makes it possible to participate in certain swimming or sports configurations.
Disabled parking spaces are amply available close to the main entrance. The hall is well reachable via the tram from Ghent-Sint-Pieters Station, and there is a stop within walking distance. During major events, the city deploys extra assistants to help visitors with a disability. Tickets for PRM spaces are best reserved in advance via the website.
