Restaurant De Kroon is on the Grote Markt of Ypres, right opposite the impressive Cloth Hall with the In Flanders Fields Museum. The restaurant combines a classic Flemish kitchen with accessible bistro dishes such as vol-au-vent, steak-frites and home-made fish pots. The terrace on the square draws visitors from across Europe who come to discover the frontline region.

The main entrance is step-free via a flat passage from the pavement. The dining room is on the ground floor with enough space between the tables and a wide circulation area. The accessible toilet is reachable without level differences and has grab rails and a washbasin at an accessible height. The terrace on the square is also reachable via a flat paved strip.

Parking is available in Parking Esplanade, which has reserved spaces for holders of a disabled permit and is a ten-minute roll from the restaurant along a flat paved walk by the ramparts. The Grote Markt has mostly flat paving, although part is still cobbled. Combine your visit with the step-free renovated In Flanders Fields Museum across the square.
