Brouwerij Duvel Moortgat Breendonk

Brouwerij Duvel Moortgat in Breendonk-Puurs is the home of the world-famous strong blond beer Duvel, as well as Vedett and Maredsous. Founded in 1871, the brewery combines a rich tradition with high-quality modern production. The visitor centre offers an interactive tour during which you discover the entire brewing process, from the selection of hops and malt to the characteristic bottle refermentation, ending with a tasting in the signature Duvel tulip glasses.

The visitor centre was recently built with accessibility in mind. The entrance is flat, all public spaces are reachable without thresholds, and there is a lift to the upper floors where parts of the tour take place. An accessible toilet with sufficient turning space is available. The tasting rooms are spacious and the tables are at a good height for wheelchair users.

The brewery has a large car park with clearly marked accessible spaces close to the entrance. Breendonk lies close to the A12 between Antwerp and Brussels and is also reachable via Puurs station. Reservations are mandatory; when booking you can mention that a wheelchair user will be joining so the guide can take this into account.
