Het Vinne in Zoutleeuw is the only natural inland lake in Flanders, forming together with the surrounding marshes and meadows a unique nature area in the province of Flemish Brabant. This provincial domain of over 100 hectares is a paradise for birdwatchers, with hides and observation platforms along the lake. The landscape alternates between open water, reed beds, flower-rich grasslands and copses.

A particular asset for wheelchair users is that the domain offers two all-terrain wheelchairs free of charge. These robust wheelchairs with wide tyres make it possible to explore the semi-paved paths in the nature area that would be difficult to navigate with a standard wheelchair. Adapted toilets are available at the visitor centre. The main paths are semi-paved, meaning they are reasonably passable in dry weather but can become muddier after rain.

The domain is accessible via the E40 and the N3 and has a car park with PMR spaces at the visitor centre. Het Vinne is free to enter year-round and offers a special nature experience in every season. It is advisable to reserve the all-terrain wheelchairs in advance through the province of Flemish Brabant. The visitor centre provides information about the flora and fauna and regularly organises guided walks.
