Natuurpunt Visitor Centre Hageland
The Natuurpunt visitor centre in the Hageland gives you a warm welcome for a discovery tour through the characteristic hills, sunken lanes, and iron sandstone landscapes of this region. In the information hall you will find interactive panels on geology, fauna, and flora, and you can borrow walking and cycling maps of the area.
The centre itself is fully wheelchair accessible: step-free entrance, spacious counter, adapted toilets, and a ground-floor exhibition area. From the visitor centre a specially wheelchair-friendly walking path of about 1.2 kilometres departs, taking you past some characteristic landscape elements. Further paths in the reserve are less well adapted and sometimes unpaved, but the starting path already offers a nice introduction.
Disabled parking spaces are available right at the centre. The surroundings also lend themselves to a quiet drive through the rolling Hageland by car. The centre regularly offers guided walks, some of which are explicitly adapted for participants with reduced mobility. Access to the visitor centre is free.
