The KMSKA, the Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp, is one of the most important art museums in Belgium. After a thorough renovation lasting more than ten years, the museum reopened in 2022 with a renewed scenography. The collection spans six centuries of art, with masterpieces by Rubens, Van Dyck, Ensor, Magritte and many other masters. The bold design combines the existing neoclassical building with a modern white vertical extension.

The museum has been designed to be fully barrier-free. All halls can be reached by lift and the corridors are spacious, with smooth flooring throughout. Accessible toilets are available on multiple levels. At the main entrance on Leopold De Waelplaats there is barrier-free access via a ramp. Wheelchairs can be borrowed free of charge on request at the reception, and adapted guided tours are available for various audiences.

Beneath the museum is an underground car park with disabled parking spaces and a lift connection to street level. The museum is excellently served by tram. Other accessible attractions such as the Museum aan de Stroom (MAS) and Het Eilandje are also nearby, making a day of Antwerp culture easy and accessible.
