Lac de Genval

Lac de Genval is a charming lake in Genval, municipality of Rixensart, in the green heart of Walloon Brabant. The lake, surrounded by stately villas and green hills, provides a pleasant setting for a walk. Several restaurants and cafes with terraces line the lakeside.

The walking path around the lake is fully paved and flat, suitable for wheelchair users. The loop is approximately 1.5 kilometres long. Rest benches are placed along the route. Seasonal portable toilets are available at the car park. The waterside restaurant terraces are largely accessible at ground level.

Parking with disabled bays is available by the lake. Genval station is a short distance away. The lake is a popular destination for a Sunday walk, particularly beautiful in spring when the surrounding gardens are in bloom.
