The Limburg Vineyard in Heers is one of the pioneers of Belgian wine production in Haspengouw. On the rolling limestone and marl soils, the winegrowers cultivate classic varieties such as pinot noir, chardonnay and auxerrois. Visitors discover the vineyards on a guided tour, followed by a tasting in the modern tasting room overlooking the Limburg slopes.

The tasting room and reception were recently built and are entirely step-free. The wide entrance door opens onto a ground-floor bar and seating area with ample turning space. An adapted toilet is available, with grab bars, a lowered sink and plenty of manoeuvring room. The central walking route through the vineyard is semi-paved and laid out flat between the first two rows of vines, so wheelchair users can experience the vineyard from a metre's height.

The estate's large car park is paved and offers reserved spaces next to the tasting room. The slopes deeper into the vineyard are too steep for independent wheelchair use, but with a companion the central path is comfortably passable. Combine your visit with the Haspengouw Blossom Path or a stop at the wheelchair-accessible Alden Biesen castle in Rijkhoven.
