The Sashof in Sint-Andries is a lesser-known but charming little green gem on the western edge of Bruges. The old country house with its accompanying avenues and meadows forms a quiet enclave between residential neighbourhoods and is especially loved by local residents who come to walk or take the dog out. The history of the Sashof dates back to the seventeenth century, when it was the country estate of a wealthy Bruges family. The monumental beeches and oaks in the old avenue are still a striking sight.

Accessibility is partial. The main paths through the park are semi-paved in dolomite and reasonably navigable by wheelchair in dry weather. In a few spots the path runs across short grass or via slight inclines that may take some effort without assistance. The country house itself is not open to the public. There is no public toilet on site, but in the Sint-Andries shopping street, ten minutes away, there are cafes with accessible facilities.

The car park lies on the edge of the park at Sint-Andriesplaats, with a few accessible spaces a reasonable distance from the entrance. The approach is level and there are no kissing gates. The Sashof is best suited to a quiet short walk out of season, when the park is at its loveliest with autumn colours or early spring greenery.
