Tomorrowland
Tomorrowland has been the world-famous electronic music festival in Boom (Antwerp) since 2005, with 400,000 visitors spread over two summer weekends. The festival is internationally recognised for its extensive G-package for visitors with disabilities — Tomorrowland's official accessibility formula, fundamentally different from that of other Belgian festivals.
The G-package includes: dedicated accessibility platforms on all main stages with good views of the show element and the scenography, shuttle service between stages (essential because the festival grounds are large and thematically divided), and a dedicated food zone with adapted tables where you can eat in peace without standing in a crowd. Adapted mobile sanitary units are spread across multiple strategic locations.
The registration for the G-package goes via tomorrowland.com/accessibility and is much stricter than other festivals: you register in advance, receive confirmation after review, and confirm your participation in good time. This process must be started at least 3 months in advance — capacity is very limited and even G-package tickets are often sold out weeks in advance.
Camping is NOT adapted for wheelchair users. The practical solution is a hotel stay in Antwerp or Boom-Mechelen, with taxi transport to the festival. Adapted hotels within driving distance: Hotel Indigo Antwerp City Centre, Mercure Antwerpen City Centre or Holiday Inn Mechelen — all within 25-40 minutes of the festival grounds. Accessible parking right at the adapted entrance, with dedicated adapted spots.
A Tomorrowland visit is physically intensive — spread-out stages, late hours, lots of standing. Plan rest breaks in the adapted food zone every 2-3 hours and use the shuttle between stages instead of covering the distance yourself.
