La Forge is a charming restaurant in Beaufays, just south of Liège, housed in a carefully restored former forge. The characterful brickwork, the tall beams and the presence of old blacksmith's tools create a unique atmosphere. The cuisine is French-Walloon in orientation, with dishes built around seasonal game, fresh fish and regional classics.

During the renovation, a lot of attention was paid to accessibility, without compromising the historic character of the building. The entrance is step-free via a discreet ramp. The dining room has wide passages in most of the ground floor; one side wing is reached via two small steps and is a little harder to access. There is a fully adapted toilet on the ground floor. When booking, it is best to mention that you would like to eat in the main part of the dining room.

The restaurant has its own car park with one adapted parking space at the main entrance. The path between the car park and the entrance is paved and level. Beaufays is about fifteen minutes' drive from the centre of Liège via the E25. Those arriving by public transport can take the bus to the Beaufays Eglise stop, a few minutes' roll away over a level pavement.
